As a jewelry artist, I am interested in creating simple, natural statements. I am inspired by the particular nature of the beads themselves, and I like the idea that my pieces could have been made from components collected on a walk along the shore, in the woods, or wherever, but that there is a story behind each piece.  Therefore, most of the beads I use strike me as somehow rare and unusual, capable of bringing a sense of history and place to a design.
